OLDER PEOPLE

We have forgotten about old people.
How many time since you don't hear a story told by your grandmother or grangfather? And what about hearing them singing an old song from their childhood?
We don't have time for them and we don't value how many things we could learn from them. They have the experience, they have the knowledge about life.
Under my point of view, nowadays young people have a lack of respect to old people. In the past, respecting older people was an important principle of education for everyone.
As families have been becoming smaller and different kinds of families have born during the last years (monoparental families, one gene couples, etc...), the institution of family and the different rols every member played in the past on them have been changing.
Some decades ago it was usual to coexist in one house two or three generations, so grandparents played an important part in our lifes and furthemore in our education.
Times have changed, and nowadays women postpone her pregnancy due to lots of factors all we know (their insertion in working life, economy factors, new stereotypes of reationships, etc...) , as a result, the differences in age between generations have become larger.
I remember my grandmother telling me stories just before going to bed, and all the songs she had taught to me, and lots of moments learning from them (cooking, playing cards, or simply chatting with them), and what is more important: receiving all their love.
